There is another side to hearing parent's raising their deaf child to be "Normal" This is true that many hearing parent's are not willing to accept their deaf child as "DEAF" The hearing parents enroll their deaf child into a oral school so their deaf child learns to speak and is forbidden to sign.
The child’s cognition is being shaped by the hearing parent’s, by really telling their deaf child that they are embarrassed of them and we are trying to hide that you are deaf.
If the child is never answered (by their mother) or put down because of what he or she said, the child might start to feel that they should never talk.
