	Children's Fairyland staging puppetry festival
		Children's Fairyland on Lake Merritt in Oakland is the subject of a book and to celebrate, the storybook park will host a weekend of special events.
		The first of two large-scale puppet shows in Fairyland's Main Plaza area is on Jan. 31.

		Children's Fairyland This pint-sized fantasy world was reported to be have inspired Walt Disney's own theme park in Anaheim.
		The gazebo is located down the hill from Children's Fairyland next to the beach.

	Fairyland
		Fairyland is often the first experience many children have with animals, because their animals "aren't scary." Their park is also one of the first experiences many urban children have with vegetable gardening through the Summer Camp programs and field trips.
