WHEDONesque : Comments on 6264 : Buffy on Five in the UK?
Just been having a look at the Radio Times online television guide and i was very surprised to see Welcome to the Hellmouth listed as showing on Five on Saturday, 19th of March at 6:40pm.
I know that the shows I mentioned were a while ago - not surprising, 'cos I left the UK in 1996, - but my question was whether similar projects were continuing to made *at all* for British TV, or whether they'd all been squeezed out by the new and bright economics of television production.
With the exception of cable series like Stargate SG-1 (which the satelittle/digital channel Sky One traditionally broadcasts from September onwards and which, by Christmas, will usually be an episode or two ahead of America) most of the US import show acquired by British broadcasters start their run on the various satellite/cable/digital strands in January.
