Chill out music - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Chill out (sometimes chillout), a term derived from a slang injunction to relax, emerged in the early and mid-1990s as a catch-all term for various styles of relatively mellow, slow-tempo music made by contemporary producers in the electronic music scene.
A number of compilations with "Chill Out" in their titles were released in the mid-1990s and beyond, helping to establish the genre as being very closely related to downtempo and trip hop but also incorporating, especially in the early 2000s, slower varieties of house music, nu-jazz, psybient, and lounge music.
Chill out is generally tonal, relaxing (or at least not as "intense" as other music from the styles it draws from), and generally does not incorporate music that emphasizes "hard," "deep," or particularly hypnotic rhythms.

Wind chill - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-11-06)
Wind chill is the apparent temperature felt on exposed skin due to the combination of air temperature and wind speed.
Except at higher temperatures, where wind chill is considered less important, the wind chill temperature (often incorrectly called the "wind chill factor") is always lower than the air temperature, because any wind increases the rate at which moisture evaporates from the skin and carries heat away from the body.
The exact definition of wind chill has been controversial because it is a composite index, because animate and inanimate bodies behave differently, and because wind chill reports have a major impact on winter tourism.

 Capgo - Wind Chill
The wind chill factor is a calculated temperature that represents the ‘feel’ of a wind on exposed human skin in terms of an equivalent temperature in still air.
The wind chill is commonly presented as a table of temperature versus wind speed.
The Wind Chill Factor is a useful measure, as it may be used in conjunction with other mechanism of heat loss or gain to yield a net effect.

The term "wind chill" goes back to the Antarctic explorer Paul A. Siple, who coined it a 1939 dissertation, "Adaptation of the Explorer to the Climate of Antarctica." During the 1940s Siple and Charles F. Passel conducted experiments on the time needed to freeze water in a plastic cylinder that was exposed to the elements.

The truth is, chillout is less a musical genre than an ideal—a vague state of New Age serenity, which, judging by the album covers, has something to do with day spas, white sand beaches, low-lit boîtes, midcentury modern furnishings, and the occasional Buddha statuette lurking in the middle distance.
