The three poets of Du Fu, Li Bai and Wang Wei belonged to the Tang Dynasty era, where the various schools of thought such a Taoism, Confucianism and Buddhism were widely promoted.
It is not really nesscary to emphasise that the nature of their writings were influenced mainly by the school of thought which they followed, particularly in Li Bai's case.
I have read some of the poems in their original language before I read Mr Seth's translations and I find myself enjoying the manner in which he has proceeded to present these poems.
