The Chinmaya Mission Washington Regional Center (CMWRC) acts as the center for all the activities of Chinmaya Mission devotees in Washington, DC, Northern Virginia, and Southern Maryland.

The need for the establishment of a Chinmaya Mission Center in Sri Lanka was greatly felt in order to expand the activities pertaining to the study of the Scriptures.
