		Chiune Sugihara also served in the Information Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and as a translator for Japanese legation in Helsinki (The capital and largest city of Finland; located in southern Finland; a major port and commercial and cultural center), Finland (Republic in northern Europe; achieved independence from Russia in 1917).
		Sugihara and his wife continued to hand-write visas (reportedly spending 18-20 hours a day on them, producing a normal month's worth of visas each day) until September 4, when he had to leave his post for Berlin (Capital of Germany located in eastern Germany) before the consulate was closed.
		Sugihara Street in Kaunas, Lithuania and the asteroid (Any of numerous small celestial bodies composed of rock and metal that move around the sun (mainly between the orbits of Mars and Jupiter)) 25893 Sugihara are named after him.
