This group spoke an Oto-Mangue language and since their name means Cholulteca, they probably originally came from Cholula, near Mexico City.
The White City area seems to save been connected to the part of Nicaragua where the Chorotegas and Nahuat speakers lived by river routes going through the valley of Azacualpa and then through a tributary of the Guayambre to the Poteca River.
