		Chongming County (崇明县, pinyin: Chóngmíng Xiàn) is the only county under the jurisdiction of Shanghai, China.
		These islands are a lowlying alluvial islands in the mouth of the Yangtze River; Chongming Island first emerged from the water in 618.
		Chongming has an area of 1041.38 km² and population of 694 600 as of 2001.
