The International Chorale is comprised of 30-60 talented choral enthusiasts from the HPU community of students (undergraduate and graduate), faculty, and staff, as well as singers from the community, who perform choral repertoire from multiethnic sources.
The IVE is one of the few choral groups in the world made up of nonmusic majors who receive scholarship for their participation.
The IVE were the official representatives from the state of Hawaii as performers from around the world came together in Salzburg and Vienna to celebrate the 250th anniversary of Mozart's birth.

At one point in the program, they had a number involving the audience in a square-dance number, so at one appearance, some of the girls went out and pulled the man on stage to dance with them.
