Because, you see, the Chorallaries came right out at the beginning of Bad Taste and informed the unruly lynch mob of an audience that they weren’t going to hold back for fear of hurting anyone.
The Chorallaries, of course, have good reason to sing the administration’s flaws to the world.
While one or two of the sketches might have fallen short, the Chorallaries were, musically, absolutely pitch-perfect.

Another new member, Kuangshin Tai G launched into an energetic rendition of the Barenaked Ladies song “It’s all been done.” Aside from a slight lyric snafu at the beginning of the song, Tai was in full command of the audience, and bounced around as he sang, as if his shoes had springs in them.
This song actually had all of the Chorallaries dancing along and their enjoyment in performing was infectious.

Concert in Bad Taste - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Every year, in late February or early March, the Chorallaries of MIT (a coed a cappella group) put on "The Nth Annual Concert in Bad Taste".
Started in the depths of time by other MIT a cappella groups, the Chorallaries have been spearheading the effort for at least the last 20 years.
Bad Taste is a concert devoted solely to off-color, nerdy, controversial, offensive, and often humurous material; a good-faith effort is made to offend everybody equally, but no quarter is given.

While the group is eager to serve up renditions of songs from their most recent a capella performances, I personally have doubts about what purpose this album can serve.
Perhaps the Chorallaries are eager to dispel the notion that their interpretive abilities (though not their technical ability) has diminished in recent years, as seen in the increasing languor of the last several Bad Taste shows.
When an a capella group like the Chorallaries focuses its talents on humorous (or lascivious) pursuits, their eager human-orchestral sound has a personal function.

I suppose it was appropriate, considering that this weekend symbolized the Chorallaries' twentieth anniversary; you know, the irony of celebrating a beginning when it is, for you, the end.

Knowing absolutely nothing about a cappella when entering college, she joined the Chorallaries of MIT co-ed a capella group, and little did she know at the time that she would both assistant direct and direct the group, not to mention meet her future husband.
Her interest in voice grew throughout college, and she eventually sang with the MIT Chamber choir and studied classical voice privately with Margaret O'Keefe for about a year.

one of the CDs I've been listening to a lot lately is the (MIT) Chorallaries' Staring Down the Infinite, which includes a version of Tori Amos' song "1000 Oceans".
There are at least a few dozen songs that I only know through a cappella versions by various MIT groups (where by "various MIT groups" I mean the Chorallaries and Resonance) and not from the original versions.
Incidentally, my playlist also includes the Bad Taste version of "1000 Oceans", which is called "1000 Blowjobs".
