  Helmet (band) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
He was replaced by Chris Traynor of Orange 9mm.
The band does not feature original members John Stanier or Henry Bogdan; they have been replaced with John Tempesta (formerly of Testament and White Zombie) on drums and Frank Bello (formerly of Anthrax) playing the bass guitar.
Chris Traynor is continuing as the second guitar player.

Hamilton was still in contact with Chris Traynor, who played guitar on Helmet's "Aftertaste" tour, and asked him if he wanted to join.
Traynor, who for years had been suggesting Hamilton reconvene Helmet, jumped on board without question.
Recorded as a trio with Traynor on bass, the disc features all the punishing riff economy Hamilton has built his reputation on, but instead of delivering "Meantime In 2K4," Hamilton has added more melodic parts for Traynor and Tempesta to drive.

Traynor joined the band for its recently wrapped North American tour in support of Golden State, when Pulsford -- who had been with the band since its inception in 1992 -- took a break to work on a solo album and to spend time with his family.

The band will also be touring in support of the new CD however only two original members, Page and Chris Traynor will be on the tour.
After 9 years, 3 world tours (1000, 1100, 1200 shows??), 5 albums worth of music etc. with John and Henry (portions of which were shared by Peter, Rob and Chris) I wouldn't want them believing that I had anything but respect for them as musicians and dedicated human beings.
Chris Traynor is in the process of writing and putting together a new band, we're hopeful he will have a record out by the summer.
