Weston played extremely well, maybe the best this season as far as moving the ball, and created many opportunities to score, but too many of the chances were ballooned over the goal, and the others would just not cross the line.
Weston, rusty due to their rainouts, were shocked in the first 5 minutes after a slow start with a well-headed and short-handed Grant Mill goal from a corner kick.
Weston looked to be on their heels at times, when Carl, Westons forward, controlled the ball off a goalie kick, and broke between two defenders and his speed took him on a breakaway.

One of the worst-kept secrets in comics was finally made public when DC announced that their Vertigo imprint would be publishing the Grant Morrison/Chris Weston tour-de-force, The Filth, beginning later in 2002.
According to Chris Weston: "We're hoping to not even have our names on the book.
When asked for a comment on the contents, Chris Weston was more guarded: "I can't tell you anything about it, or Grant will have my balls."
