Christ Church Meadows run from Christ Church down to the Thames or Isis.
The Meadows can be accessed from St. Aldates through the memorial gardens, from Christ Church itself, from Merton Street between Christ Church and Merton College, from Rose Lane by the Botanical Gardens and from the north river path.
The tourist entrance to Christ Church is through the Meadows and they also contain playing fields belonging to Merton College School.

Thomas Jefferson came to the log tobacco barn that was Christ Church's first house of prayer; it was located on New Jersey Avenue near D Street Southeast, not far from what is now the Capitol South metro station.

Christ did not come the first time to establish a political Kingdom, but to call from Israel and the Gentile nations a remnant to evangelize the world, and preach the "Gospel" of the Kingdom which is yet to come.

The Christ Church boys spent quite a lot of their free time exploring Oxford and sometimes hiring a boat for sixpence a day and going to Iffley or Kennington.
In 1870, owing to a shortage of space in the college, the schoolroom under the hall was needed for students, so a classroom in the corner of the Meadows had to be hurriedly built to accommodate the boys and their masters.
In 1956, Dr Sydney Watson, organist at Eton College, was appointed to Christ Church Cathedral.
