Reference.com/Encyclopedia/Christ the Lord Is Risen Today
Christ the Lord Is Risen Today is a Christian hymn traditionally associated with Easter.
Almost all list Jesus Christ Is Risen Today to be sung to the tune Easter Hymn (either the original from Lyra Davidica or an alternative arrangement by William Henry Monk).
However, most list Christ the Lord Is Risen Today to be sung to the anonymous tune Nassau (first found in a late 17th-century German book of sacred tunes), to the tune Gwalchmai by Welsh composer Joseph David Jones, or to the tune Llanfair.

"Christ the Lord Is Risen Today" is a classic Easter hymn by the great hymn writer Charles Wesley.
"Christ the Lord is risen today" -- not "has risen" or "rose." This is powerful because it places us in community with those who witnessed the resurrection in their own lifetimes, and reaffirms our own hope of being set free from death.
This is so empowering to us and to others, to know that Christ died for us, and that his power enables us to overcome suffering and death just like he did.

An intimate solo voice sings an a cappella rubato stanza of “Holy, Holy, Holy.” Then the medley begins as singers enter the stage one by one and join a riff on “Holy, Holy, Holy” and “Christ the Lord Is Risen” in a street-singing style.
Note: The music chart for this medley does not include the vocal riff on “Christ the Lord Is Risen Today.” Instead, the riff goes off on “Holy, Holy, Holy.” This was done so the arrangement could be used in non-Easter services.
