 THE HISTORY OF CHRISTMAS
Christmas Cards were introduced in 1843 (the same year A CHRISTMAS CAROL was first published) by Sir Henry Cole, an English businessman and patron of art.
Christmas became the holiday of carols in the 16th century, but condemnation of carolling by the Puritans ended the tradition in England for over 160 years.
Christmas is a national secular holiday in India, where the Hindus and Muslims celebrate in the secular traditions.

Some hills, such as Bear Mountain and Storm King, are almost entirely of a pinkish granitic gneiss, this one known as Storm King granitic gneiss.
The broad terrace on which Bear Mount Inn sits is a terrace (same at West Point) which was at one time the Hudson River's graded bedrock bottom many millions of years ago.
A fairly large colony of Zanthoxylum americanum, the Toothache Tree, was found on the slope between the highway and the Hudson, and a little north of the Bear Mountain Bridge, under conditions which indicated that it had been originally introduced.

It was $59 (holiday fee) for a two-hour group lesson and an additional $18 for snowboard rental and a beginner's lift ticket.
I'd encourage skiers or snowboarders who need to rent the equipment to do so before going to the mountain.
