The new Army National Guard helicopter complex is being built in response to leaders of the Missouri National Guard who have worked to relocate Missouri units assigned to the 106th Aviation Assault Battalion.
According to Bond the current Jefferson City facility is too small and this new $13 million aviation facility is needed to properly house and provide increased security measures for approximately 10 UH-60 Blackhawk helicopters.
