Christopher Frank Carandini Lee (born May 27, 1922 in London) is a prolific British actor known for his versatility and film longevity.
Lee was a natural choice for the Lord of the Rings movies, where he plays the role of Saruman, as he makes it a habit of reading the novel at least once a year.
Lee sings on The Wicker Man soundtrack -- in character as the modern pagan noble in the film -- performing Paul Giovanni's psych folk composition, The Tinker of Rye.

 BBC Radio Collection: Christopher Lee
To tie in with the release of This Sceptred Isle: The Dynasties, we interviewed Christopher Lee, the creator and writer of the award-winning radio history of Britain.
Christopher Lee: The Dynasties is about the most powerful families in the British Isles in the past thousand years.
These are the families who have been the powers behind the throne – and, in some cases, the usurpers of that power and throne.

Christopher Lee, acclaimed author of This Sceptred Isle, unfolds its story from first-hand accounts and original documents to mirror the seminal year in which Britain moved from Tudor medievalism towards the wars, republicanism and regicide that lay ahead.
Christopher Lee tells its story from firsthand accounts and original documents to mirror the seminal year in which Britain moved from Tudor medievalism toward the wars, republicanism, and regicide that lay ahead.
Though Lee falls for a classic schoolboy-Latin trap ("O rare Ben Johnson" has nothing to do with the poet's uncommonness) and seems sometimes to be channeling a period ghostwriter ("The people of James's green and pleasantland would prosper and breed as they might anyway have done"), his narrative moves well and neatly weaves many threads.

Christopher Lee, still best known for his brilliant work as Count Dracula was born to play Rasputin and his performance is the thing that really inpresses in this film effort.
Christopher Lee of course makes perfect casting as Rasputin and frequent costar Barbara Shelley gives a great performance in the role of the love struck and ultimately tragic Sonia who in real Russian history is undoubtedly a combination of a few individuals.
Christopher Lee turns in one of his finest performances as the monk who uses his hypnotic and shamanistic skills to manipulate his way into the royal household in pre-revolutionary Russia.

The fires gut the castle, but when the villagers return to the church where they safeguarded their women, they are met with a gory scene of violent death, just as a large bat flies out the window.
Christopher Lee turns in another magnificent performance in his signature role; tall, regal, pallid, with blood red eyes and just a touch of gray on his widow's peak.
This is an excellent documentary directed by Colin Webb which features Lee himself sitting down and talking about his acting career (up to 1996, the year the documentary was filmed) and showing off pieces of memorabilia from his films.

Kostova’s book tells the story of an unnamed young protagonist, the daughter of an American historian and diplomat living in Europe, who finds a mysterious book in her father’s study: a very old and sinister book, empty of print but for one page, the central page, featuring a woodcut of a fearsome crowned dragon.
In the process, she also discovers, to her peril, that her family’s secrets are intertwined with the history of a great evil winding its dragonish way through the centuries, from the fall of Constantinople to the present Age of Terrorism: the history of the “real” Dracula.
