Christopher Pike has created a world in which he puts teenagers in mind-blowing situations but manages to make them realistic, well-rounded characters who take drugs, drink, sleep with each other, commit horrifc crimes and occasionally don't turn out to be human anyway.
Even though Christopher Pike maintains a mystery about himself as deep as any of the plots in his books, his popularity endures, and long may it continue to do so.

I like most of the people that have posted what they think on this web site also LOVE Christopher Pike The Last Vampire series but I have to agree with sita5780 because I dont know why she would do what she did at the end I know if I was her I sure wouldnt!!!!!!!
Afterall, the whole series had to end at some point, the last vampire series is probably Kevin (Christopher Pike)'s longest series.
I'm a huge fan of Christopher Pike and I have been waiting since 1995 for The Blind Mirror to be released.

All the critic quotes on the back are for Pike's other actual adult books ('The Cold One' and 'Season Of Passage' for example) and TOR certainly haven't published any of his Young Adult work by the look of things.
Um, OK. Weirdly enough, it reads like it's aimed at even younger readers than the wonderfully garish supernatural horror/thrillers Pike used to churn out to a devoted readership - mainly because they were rather good and didn't pretend to be anything other than what they were.

Reading it, I realized why I loved Christopher Pike so much when I was younger--it didn't really feel like a book written for kids.
P.S. By the time Christopher Pike started getting published, I was 13 or 14 and reading Danielle Steele and Judith Krantz.
I did it mostly for Paul, who has not read any of the HP books and is never going to because he doesn't ever read fiction but still insists that he remain unspoiled because he thinks one day he might possibly read them maybe.

When reading the first book I NEVER expected what was going to happen in the third book, but unless you read all three you won't understand the entire picture(who did it and why).
I enjoyed it because it is CHRISTOPHER PIKE; his stories always made me think about something, even the ones that were not up to par.
Pike knows what he's doing to postpone that movie; his fans are ready to tear it apart if it is not done the right way.

Back to Pike, you know what, i ABSOLUTELY AGREE about the fact that you cannot find anywhere the Last Spooksville book, i have search high and low and haven't found 'The Witches Gift' anywhere, i am very surprised you found it at all.
haha anyways back to Pike, i went to Borders Bookstore in Brisbane, they had no pike books in stock which really is a surprise to me because i wanted to buy Alosha and Shanti.
