BBC - I Love Blue Peter - Christopher Wenner presenter biography
The son of a former British ambassador to El Salvador, Christopher Wenner was very well brought up and a bit stiff in front of the cameras.
He seemed a bit out of place on the show, although his derring-do commended him to viewers and the production team.
Christopher Wenner also had a walk-on part in the Doctor Who story The Awakening (1984).

Wenner is looking for the end to 25 years of being at odds with the scientific community, for the validation of his life's work.
Wenner is "a fresh breeze blowing across an area that no one was supposed to approach," says Bill Wilson, a research entomologist for the federal Department of Agriculture and president of the American Bee Research Conference.
The scientific community spurned Wenner's ideas, she concluded, in part because he was challenging a venerated scientist and because of the sheer seductiveness of the dancing-bee theory.

Wenner, in her debut as a novelist, captures the tense, hothouse atmosphere of an extended family of affluent Jewish professionals enduring major life passages.
In the end, we believe Wenner when she guides Annie to fulfillment in the imperfect manner of all human endeavors for the divine, and in a spiritually driven book it's a comfort for the faith to be so concretely rendered.

Blue Peter - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The theme tune, in recognition of the origin of the title, is a sea shanty called Barnacle Bill, and the programme's motif is a stylised sailing ship, based on an original design by Tony Hart.
The programme, edited for many years by Biddy Baxter, was first shown in October 16, 1958, the original presenters being Christopher Trace and Leila Williams.
The format consisted mainly of the two presenters demonstrating how to make toys and useful household objects, with the male presenter concentrating on traditional "boys'" toys such as model aeroplanes, and the female restricting herself to cookery, etc.

 The American Spectator
Evidently editor and publisher Jann Wenner had dark and disturbing visions of some twenty-something slacker opening his magazine and rather than a reassuring condom or Planned Parenthood advertisement finding an ad for a Bible.
Wenner and company were famous for their weird poetry, interviews with youth culture icons, and long, drug-addled reportage by Hunter S. Thompson and P.J. O'Rourke.
This disturbing trend reached its climax in 2002, when Wenner hired British laddie magazine editor Ed Needham to cut out the long literary journalism and up the percentage of half-naked celebrities (Needham left in 2002, replaced by a trio of deputy managing editors).

BLUE PETER | A TELEVISION HEAVEN REVIEW
Sporting a Beatle haircut, Noakes became an instant hit with the public as he undertook a series of daredevil stunts such as scaling Nelson's Column, and became the first British civilian to make a 25,000ft free-fall by parachute.
Christopher Trace left the show in 1967 to be replaced by former 'Doctor Who' actor Peter Purves, and the show entered, arguably, its golden and most fondly remembered era.
Shown twice a week (Monday and Thursday) its trademarks have left an indelible mark on an entire generation of children, each of whom would kill for a coveted Blue Peter Badge, awarded for contributors to the show.

He remains the show's longest-serving presenter, with a stint that lasted 12 years and 6 months.
Noakes worked as an aircraft engine fitter and then as an actor, before he became a Blue Peter presenter on 30 December 1965, joining Christopher Trace and Valerie Singleton.
Trace left the programme in 1967, and was replaced by Peter Purves, thus creating the famous 'Val, John and Pete' line-up that lasted until 1972, probably the most popular set of presenters the programme has had in its long history.

Inspired by the U-Bahn, the subway system that runs through their city, Wenner and Bleckmann have seemingly captured the essence and ambience of its sterile, sleek structures in the form of forcefully tapping beats and an array of clicks, creaks, and distant voices.
It should come as little surprise that "Autobahn" is the most danceable of these 12 tracks, as it carries the most propulsive rhythm and a looped vapor smudge that takes the place of a hook.
Those familiar with the M_nus label should find Wenner and Bleckmann to be a fitting addition to their roster; ND4 [+] is a fine combination of subtlety and substance.
