Chrysler selected windshield wipers using an "opposed" pattern for a cleaner sweep, and built in an electric grid at the bottom of the windshield glass to keep ice from accumulating on the wipers.

The "K" platform proved though to be so versatile and durable that from its introduction in 1980 (I believe), to the final "K" based platform in 94, so many parts are interchangeable, as to surprise most.
This simple platform was the basis for the G-27 project which debuted as the 1984 Dodge Daytona and the Chrysler Laser.
Most of the platform is "K" based, but stretched a bit to better accomodate the addition of the V6 motors.
