Mosley: Well, the powers that be, which are represented more by money than by race, needed to recruit people in the fl community to do their work for them.
Mosley: He called him a house nigger, or a house slave, I don't remember which one he said.
Mosley: Well, the simple answer is that when you write a novel, what you want to do is tell the story well.

 Chuck Mosley
'''Chuck Mosley''' was the original singer in the rock band Faith No More.
He was fired from the band in 1988 for a number of reasons, partly because of his alleged drug abuse and antagonistic behaviour, (his relationship with guitarist Jim Martin reputedly descended into physical violence), but mainly because he was, in many peoples' minds, a poor vocalist.
Mosley is now a chef in Cleveland, Ohio.

Faith No More - We Care A Lot
Chuck Mosley became the full time singer, and appeared on their first two records.
Their best known song from this era is probably "We Care A Lot", which satirized the prevalence of charity -related rock efforts such as Live Aid and " We Are the World ".
The band gained a reputation for infighting and friction that sometimes went way beyond the limits of "creative differences." In a notorious interview in 1987, Mosley claimed that Martin had hit him with a bottle, and there were frequent rumours of physical confrontations between band members.

Whilst admittedly Chuck Moseley is not as talented as Patton, his vocals nevertheless have a certain charm about them, as well as tons of attitude.
His sloppiness, juxtaposed against the iron-fist-in-a-silk-glove sound of the rest of the band, who are all phenomenally talented and expressive musicians, pushes the band to a level that is virtually impossible to achieve when all of the musicians are "smooth," technically precise performers.
Jim Miller's guitar is hardly even noticeable on several tracks, and Chuck Mosley's vocals are less of a centerpiece of the sound as Mike Patton's would come to be (although Chuck's unorthodox vocals are a wonderfully enjoyable breath of fresh air).

It encompassed a variety of styles but exuded a rare warmth and energy, mainly through Mosley's melodramatic vocals, and was well received by the critics (not least for the signature tune "We Care A Lot").
However, internal disputes led to the firing of Mosley on the eve of widespread press coverage and favourable live reviews, although it had been reported that the band underwent a period when every single member walked out at some point.

Although the Mike Patton-led line up of Faith No More conquered the charts, it was the Chuck Mosley-led incarnation that made the group a college radio favorite during the mid to late 1980s.
With Mosley at the helm, Faith No More became one of the '80s' leading underground bands on the strength of 1985's "We Care a Lot" and 1987's "Introduce Yourself." Despite exiting the group in 1988 under less-than-friendly circumstances, the Ohio-based Mosley is now friendly with most of his former FNM bandmates.

While not quite as musically accomplished as their influences, Cement (Mosley, guitarist Sean Maytum, bassist Senon Williams, and drummer Doug Duffy) still made a distinct noise that wasn't without its moments.
In general, Mosley and company do a fine job on both efforts, releasing the spirit of slam-bang groove rock without ever taking their work or themselves very seriously.

This is unsurprising because back in the dark ages of cassette tapes - and indeed often still - the good songs were stacked at the front, while the poorer efforts tried to escape unnoticed at the back.
The first half starts with the title track "We Care a Lot." Apart from being a good song it reveals another point about the band - lead singer Chuck Mosley yells a lot.
Vocals are shouted, not sung, and this is a good reflection of the tone of the album.

Released in 1993, the band's self-titled debut is a quasi-metal free-for-all that signaled the group's musical abandon and fascination with the power and sensibility of rock music in its rawest form.
