The CSO was the first orchestra to be broadcast to a national radio audience (in 1921) and the third orchestra to record (in 1917).

NIVERSITY OF Founded in 2004 by Richard Wang, Nicole Desender, Alex Noel, Adam McCormick, and Angela Santangelo, the University of Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra is a campus orchestra, providing an outlet for all students regardless of major, as well as staff, faculty, and community members, to play in an orchestra at the university.
