Cinergy Corp. NYSE: CIN was an energy company based in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Cinergy was created on October 24, 1994, from the merger of the Cincinnati Gas and Electric Company (CGandE) with PSI Energy and later included Union Light, Heat and Power (ULHandP) as well.
In May 2006, Cinergy was fingered as a key contributor to major pollution in the American Midwest, prompting the New York State government to sue the company and forcing the company to install modern pollution control equipment.

Cinergy Field, formerly known as Riverfront Stadium (1970 - 2002) was the home of the Cincinnati Reds Major League Baseball team and the Cincinnati Bengals National Football League team.
Located on the Ohio River in downtown Cincinnati, the stadium was best known as the home of "The Big Red Machine," as the Reds were often called in the 1970s.
