2 Cinnamon Woodpeckers were lifers, as was Beautiful Woodpecker (Melanerpes pulcher, split from Golden-naped Woodpecker) 1 S, which I had missed the day before.
I was the only one in the group lucky enough to get a view of male Striped Manakin.
Cinnamon Becard (6), One-colored becard (1 female), 4 Yellow-crowned Tyrannulet and 1 Forest Elaenia.a single Black-capped Pygmy-Tyrant wasa nice lifer,Black-headed Tody Flycatcher was seen as well.But Southern Bentbill heard only again.

A beautiful Jet Antbird with white wing margins and white tail tips was a lifer for me, and we had good looks at both sexes of White-bellied Antbird.
The Colombian bird appears quite distinct from the form that I saw in Peru and is probably a good species.Quyite a few swallows: Brtown-bellied (5), Blue-and-white (10) and Southern Rough-winged (10).
Cinnamon Becard was a lifer for me, as were 2 Antioquia Bristle-Tyrants (endemic) at La Victoria.Southern bentbill was heard only.

We will bird the Copán Valley and nearby haciendas for birds such as White-throated Magpie Jay, Green Jay, Green and Olive-throated Parakeets, Cinnamon Hummingbird, Rose-throated Becard, Turquoise-browed Motmot, Grace's Warbler, Painted Redstart, Altimira Oriole, Yellow-billed Cacique, and Yellow-winged Tanager.
We will visit the Lancetilla Botanical Gardens founded over 70 years ago as an experimental botanical site by the United Fruit Company - this is the birthplace of the famous "Chiquita Banana." The gardens are home to hardwood, medicinal and ornamental plants as well as tropical fruit trees from all over the world.
Lancetilla is home to over 300 species of birds including White-bellied Emerald, White-crowned Parrot, Cinnamon Becard, Rufous-tailed Jacamar, Lovely Cotinga, Tawny-throated Leaftosser, Passini's Tanager and Rose-throated Tanager, plus numerous toucans, trogons, and motmots.

We enjoyed a beautiful view of the entire Mindo valley from about 4 kilometers up the trail where we had our granola bar and water lunch.
Throughout the day, smaller flocks of birds were in view including one which included a blotchy fl and connamon colored becard.
We asked about our molting male becard and Juan Carlos confirmed that it was, indeed, a molting male One-colored Becard.

We'll head north along the Pan American Highway to the dry desert-like habitat of Guanacaste.
Birds easily found here include such exotics as Turquoise-browed Motmot, White-throated Magpie-Jay, Cinnamon Hummingbird, and Rufous-naped Wren.
We will stay at La Ensenada, a beautiful lodge and ranch on the shores of the Gulf of Nicoya that is owned and operated by the Tretti family.

 central Ecuador trip report
Very good looks at BARRED BECARD, CINNAMON FLYCATCHER (nesting on bedroom balcony), Crimson-mantled WP, STREAKED TUFTEDCHEEK, BLUE-WINGED MTN-TANAGERS and one PLATE-BILLED MTN-TOUCAN.
Toucan Barbets were heard this afternoon but not seen.
This was a very high flyby of a single bird identified by its vocalization.
