  Circumpolar Regions (Arctic)
[6] Although the circumpolar world has only 0.04% of the world's population, Bahá'í interest is gauged to be very high, given the fact that 8.0% of the Knights of Bahá'u'lláh pioneered to this area.
Due to the isolation of circumpolar Bahá'í communities, such gatherings assume a great importance in their collective life.At first, conferences and summer/winter schools were organized by Bahá'í bodies in the south.
Increasingly, it is the circumpolar people who are arising to foster more effective means to promote the Bahá'í teaching work through the Bahá'í administrative framework which is now coming into play.

Bahá'u'lláh accorded to circumpolar inhabitants (as well as to those in southern extremes) an exemption not to rely on sunrise or sunset for the purpose of the fast, but to rely on clocks instead (Synopsis of Aqdas, 37).
For example, Paul Adams' Arctic Island Hunter[50] provides a detailed glimpse of his life as a hunter in Spitzbergen, while many readers of Suzanne Schuurman's biography of her son, Tristan, are moved by her descriptions of life in the far north.

Circumpolar star - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Circumpolar stars are those stars which are located near the celestial poles of the celestial sphere, i.e.
Some of the circumpolar stars nearest the poles do not seem to engage in diurnal motion at all.
On the northern hemisphere all circumpolar stars rotate around the North Star Polaris, which itself is almost stationary, always at the north (i.e., the azimuth is 0°), and always at the same altitude (angle from the horizon), equal to the latitude of the point of observation on Earth.

 NORTHERN CIRCUMPOLAR CONSTELLATIONS
Circumpolar stars or constellations daily trace circles around the north celestial pole, without setting or dipping below the horizon.
On any given night, the constellation is visible during a portion of the circle; the rest is traced out when the constellation is hidden in the daylight sky.
In America they are called the Big Dipper or "Drinking Gourd," and in Britain the "Plough" or the "Wain." The Big Dipper is one of the most easily recognizable groups of stars in the sky.

Oceanic heat and vorticity budgets of the Antarctic circumpolar wave
We find the anomalous SST tendency in the ACW balanced by the sum of anomalous zonal heat advection by the ACC and by surface air temperature induced sensible-plus-latent heat flux anomalies, the latter displaced to the east of SST anomalies and explaining their eastward phase propagation.
Preliminary results indicate that the ACW does not follow the core of the Antarctic Circumpolar Current, but rather follows the path of the principal storm track across the Southern Ocean, along which coupling is maximized, the latter needed to maintain the ACW against dissipation.

 The Antarctic Sun: Circumpolar Current
“The Antarctic Circumpolar Current is the only global current that flows uninterrupted, so it can actually transport heat all over the Earth by transferring it from one ocean basin to the other,” said Janet Sprintall in a telephone interview from her office at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography in San Diego.
With seven years of data, Sprintall said they are only now getting to the point where they can begin to build any kind of big-picture scenario, although to look at anything with regard to long-term climate change requires at least a decade of data, she cautioned.
Computerized models for a doubling of heat-trapping carbon dioxide in the atmosphere depict a reduction in circulation in the Antarctic Circumpolar Current from 20 to 50 percent.
