Cirroteuthis muelleri(Grimpoteuthidae) caught in the Porcupine Seabight, SW of Ireland.
The Cirroteuthidae includes the monotypic genera Cirrothauma and Cirroteuthis (3 species) and Frokenia, which is only known from a single, damaged and now lost specimen.
The Cirroteuthidae are characterised by possessing a secondary web, long cirri, large fins and a saddle or butterfly shaped internal shell.
