Red Sox Connection - The Citgo Sign
While many are familiar with most of the details that make these ballparks and their surrounding areas so great, the CITGO sign may be one of the sights of taking in a game at Fenway that many first-timers don't know much about.
CITGO decided to dismantle the deteriorating sign, but when the work crew arrived, defenders of the sign stopped the demolition.
In the end, CITGO, surprised by the uproar, reached an agreement with the commission and offered to refurbish the sign and illuminate it for three years.

 Citgo v. U.S. Foreign Trade-Zones
Citgo began operating under the benefits of the subzone grant, but it challenged the lawfulness of the fuel-consumed condition, arguing that the Board was not authorized to impose such a condition and that its imposition in Citgo's case was arbitrary and capricious.
Citgo next argues that the fuel-consumed condition was not justified by anything in the administrative record and that the Board failed to provide a sufficient explanation for imposing that condition.
Citgo's final contention is that the Board acted arbitrarily and capriciously when it imposed the fuel-consumed condition after having previously granted subzone benefits to several refineries without imposing that condition.

Ramirez said that under the Venezuelan government plan, CITGO will set aside up to 10% of its refined oil products to be sold directly to organized poor communities, and institutions in the U.S. without intermediaries.
It is unclear how the CITGO gas will reach the consumers, as CITGO does not own any of the 14.000 CITGO-branded gas stations operating in U.S. territory through franchising.
