		City of Angels was also the name of a short-lived television series which told the story of a private detective in 1930s Los Angeles, California.
		Indeed, "City of Angels" is loosely-based on the 1987 Wim Wenders film "Wings of Desire", which had the angelic overseers of post-war Berlin discuss the joy and pain of the human condition as they shuffled peacefully through the city.

		The final track, "City of Angels" reminds me of "Cave of Swimmers" from The English Patient because, like that cue, the lush, emotional climax has much more of an impact due to the generally low-key nature of the rest of the score.
		Her unique, country-tinged tones and the endearing catch in her voice are very pleasing to the ear, and the song's lyrics seem to accurately reflect the film's themes of impossible love and longing.

		Continuity: The angels in the film are supposed to be seen by absolutely nobody, unless they want them to. However, in several scenes such as those in the hospital and grocery store, both the angels' shadows and reflections in security mirrors can be seen.
