Not one Brimbank resident I’ve spoken to, wants medium to high density housing next door to them and therefore, this act of good faith on behalf of Brimbank Council, will demonstrate that Council and the Mayor are listening to the residents of Brimbank.
Brimbank has a high dependence on motor vehicles as the prime source of transport and although there is an effort through the Plan to decrease this dependence, there is no real attempt to increase the public transport system in Brimbank with the exception of a Smart Bus.
The Brimbank City Council has had a period of at least 18 months in which to prepare a submission for the community to consider and we believe a similar time period must be given to residents.

Brimbank Council inform community that they are not going to apply for additional funding or consider stage 2 development when additional funds are available and instead of fixing the outdoor pool they will fill it in.
The truth is that the Brimbank Council is going to spend over 7 million filling in our 50 metre pool, baby pool, learn to swim pool and lawns and building one solitary indoor pool that is 3 feet deep at the deep end.
Brimbank residents have one of the lowest (if not the lowest) per capita rates of access to aquatic services in Victoria.
