Peterborough, inspired by Tyler took the lead seconds before half time as a Tom Williams cross from the left was misjudged by keeper Alexander which allowed the persisent Leon McKenzie to head the ball home from six yards.
Peterborough increased their lead in the 54th minute with a spectacular effort from Neale Fenn who chased a long ball out of defence, outpaced defenders Scott Young and Rhys Weston to smash a 20-yard right-footed volley past a stunned Alexander into the roof of the net.
