Police are conducting a major road safety blitz in the City of Stonnington targeting the Chapel St, Cato Street and Dandenong Road precincts.
Fifty-one notices of unroadworthiness were issued with a range of offences also detected including driving without a seatbelt, failing to comply with a traffic signal and driving an unregistered vehicle.
Sergeant Michael Free, of the Stonnington Traffic Management Unit, said the operation aimed to further reduce the number of alcohol and speed related incidents in the area.
