	CityPoint
		CityPoint was a breakthrough in the evolution of the City skyline in London as it started to move from old and stagnant, wracked by conservatism, to the something newer and more vibrant that was finally throwing off it's modernist and often brutalist look.
		By 2002 Citypoint was complete had become the second tallest building in the City, a title it was soon to lose to Swiss RE's new headquarters at 30 St Mary's Axe.
		The environment may not have been quite right for the original design, but CityPoint remains a mark of things to come in London that only now are coming into fruition.

		Unfortunately, the parts don’t quite add up, and, charming though my waitress was, I have to say Barola reminded me more of Mcdonald’s with wine glasses than a slice of class with my FT.
		Perhaps the cluster of restaurants next to Citypoint feel too much like amenities that have mushroomed quickly for the office people in the glass tower to inspire any fondness.
		The fact that it is in a kind of canteen mall doesn’t really help it to stand out either — you can’t possibly kid yourself that you were experiencing the cuisine and atmosphere of some hidden corner of the City if you are wedged in between a noodle bar and a chain restaurant.

	Gide finds new City home in expansionist move - 10 February 2004
		French firm Gide Loyrette Nouel has signalled its commitment to London after securing 12,000 ft of permanent office space at landmark building CityPoint.
		The firm has made the most of the favourable market, as it is understood that it has negotiated a 14-month rent free period and rent of £45 per sq ft. Gide declined to comment on the details of the move.
		The firm launched in London in June last year, but until now has been renting serviced office space in Citypoint on a month by month basis.
