The detail improvements to the old CityRover that had been prepared by Rover's partner Tata, which made the car in India, were due to be released to the market just when MG Rover was going bust.
On the road the CityRover is surprisingly refined, considering, and doesn't feel underpowered in the way a Proton Savvy or Chevrolet Matiz does, to mention two budget rivals.
This is due partly to the fact that the CityRover was a pretty straightforward design in the first place, but it will be more to do with Tata itself coming to the UK before too long with its original Indica, plus its estate derivative and various pick ups and SUVs.

I agree with review above, because I think even though it may be crudely built, it does it's job, it doesn't fall apart and it is slightly cynical, in way saying that it will.
I'm trading it in already as I am so unhappy with the amount of problems also amount of wind noise when you go faster than 50 mph.
What do people expect when they buy a "city"rover what you get is a car built to be good in the city, The fact that the car is too low geared to be effective on motorways is irrelevant as this is not what it's designed for.

 CityRover Arrives This Month
The CityRover version of the Tata Indica goes on sale this month, taking Rover back into a market sector the company abandoned in 1997 when the Metro-based 100 went out of production.
That being so, it's a surprise that the new model isn't being given a full-scale media launch.
Built only in five-door form, and always with the 83bhp 1405cc engine, the CityRover has some exterior styling changes as well as more of a Rover look and feel to the interior than is the case with the Indica.
