They, in turn, are dwarfed somewhat by CitySpire, the tallest of the three, and they detract and interfere with each other's perspectives from many vantage points.

This glass tower of a primarily octagonal plan has short streamlined extension wings, the whole rising in triple setbacks, ending in a domed top at the height of 248 m (814 feet).

Right after completion, residents in the neighborhood began complaining about a strange whistling noise from the tower which was found to be caused by wind around its dome.

Trivia time: Upon the building's completion, residents of nearby buildings complained of hearing a loud whistling noise -- which turned out to be the wind blowing through Cityspire's dome.
Cityspire did exceed its height limit, but none of it was later demolished.
If memory serves, back in the day Cher lived in the Cityspire and at the time was often quoted about the weird wind noises...
