The Wargamer - For All Your Strategy Gaming on the Net
Zeus: Master of Olympus is a humorous, fun, intriguing, and accessible family game that brings mythology and classic literature to life and lifts Sierra's award-winning Citybuilding Series all the way up to the lofty heights of Mount Olympus!
The game is successful no matter whether viewed as a pure building game with a splash of local color and economy, an empire builder with a liberal dose of character development, or a game featuring a balance of politics, building and economy.
If you only liked the first games in the series, and thought them flawed, this product fixes many of the more obvious flaws, and fixes them in ways that are simple, elegant and intuitive.

Strategy Gaming Online - Reviews: Phaoraoh: Cleopatra
Sim City was a game that instantly created a genre--that of "city building".
While building pyramids and the like you can now have the gods bless its construction, thereby having a section completed instantly.
Fans had to be satisfied with a third in the Caesar series for a while, but surely enough, Impressions innovative style wowed us with Pharaoh.

 MobyGames - Acropolis
Zeus works just the same way as the previously released games of the Impressions city building series but also adds a huge amount of features unique to both, Greek history and Greek mythology.
This special package contains both parts of Impressions' latest installments of the city building series, "Zeus - Master of Olympus" and the expansion "Poseidon".
You can either choose to play an endless game, just trying to create the Greek city state of your dreams or follow the game's pre-written campaign - a series of different scenarios with various mission goals.

Now as far as the games are concerned, EVERY game in the series is great and awesome there really isn't a bad game in the whole series and the way each game connects from the last is done perfectly and brilliant...
Great ride but not worth the price of admission : The Kings Quest collection is, in my opinion, the best adventure series ever but these prices that the people are selling them at are utterly and stupidly ridiculous.
Getting Hard To Find : For those of you criticizing the prices here on Amazon for this amazing collection i find it kind of funny.

 Caesar III Strategy Guide
Within the first year of building a city you must create a fort, a barracks and an academy.
If you were not far-sighted enough to start building an army early on, you can stave off disaster by building a series of walls between your city and the invaders, and then building a fort, barracks and academy to start training auxiliaries.
In this game if there is no food, there is no city.

 RTSC Sim Management Games List
The latest entry in the series, Emperor: Rise of the Middle Kingdom, is a seperate, standalone game and moves the city building eastwards to Ancient China.
This is a long series of loosely connected city building sims set in Ancient times, sometimes referred to as the Impressions' Ancient City series, all bundled together in a single collection.
The emphasis of all these games is the building and developing of a string of city states, with combat taking a back seat to some serious economic management and civil engineering.

 GameOver - Caesar 3 (c) Sierra
Caesar II was one of my personal favorite colonization, expansion, city building style games ever.
Its graphically similar to Sim City, although battles are done more along the lines of a real time strategy game like AoE was.
It can be compared to Seven Kingdoms, Age of Empires, Sim City, and Civilization at various levels of the game.

I am a huge fan of the city building game series which has mostly been generated by Impression Games.
Maybe it is the slow methodical building process or my unquenchable desire to command and rule all those around me. But I become very addicted to these games whenever they come out.

The basic building blocks of the game and system are all here.

Caesar III Review for PC on GamePro.com
The game forces you to rethink the building process as you move from city site to site, just as a modern city planner or ancient tyrant might.
As buildings wear down due to erosion, neglect, fire or revolt, you'll have engineering posts for on-the-spot repairs.
Of course, you can avoid the campaign altogether, and play a freeform game on one of the twelve pregenerated maps.) In one scenario, you could find that all food must be imported; in another, the chances of fire are greatly increased by a desert locale.

City Building Series - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
In the City Building Series the player is also in charge of providing food, water, goods and employment, ensuring crime is low, reducing the risk of disease, fire and building collapse, balancing imports, exports and taxes and keeping a strong military for both attack and defense.
While the series visually changed from the first game (played from a birds' eye perspective set in a 320 × 200 256 colour VGA resolution) to the last (playable up to 1280 × 1024), the basic mechanics remain the same, and except for a few differences, are common to all games.
In Sim City (at least until version 3) most of the work is done by zoning industry, commerce and housing, adjusting transportation in order to make the city functional, then distributing police, hospital and fire department coverage and setting taxes to attract population.

Zeus First Impression - Printer Friendly - GameSpot
For instance, you need to build roads first before you build houses, because the houses need to be connected to the other buildings in the city.
As in previous games, you need workers to support certain buildings, but in Zeus, you no longer have to ensure that you have an unobstructed road from house to building in order for that building to be staffed with the proper number of workers - just having enough houses and workers does the job.
Such interconnection between buildings is not new to games of this ilk, but in Zeus, it is less complex.

SimCity 4 Review for PC at GameSpot
And since city maps in SimCity 4 are smaller overall than in previous SimCity games--probably a necessary limitation due to the fine level of detail you'll see down to individual houses and sims--that wasted space could be a big missed opportunity for your city.
Once you decide it's time to get started with your city, you may find the early going to be very familiar if you've played any of the previous SimCity games.
All this is not to say SimCity 4 is a fast-paced game, because you can play it at the rate you want.

 A Monument to Pharaoh
Pharaoh, one of Impressions Software's impressive games :) in their City Building Series
Basically, Pharaoh is a strategic city-building game set in Egypt, from roughly 2900 to 700 BC.
:) One of the nice features is the ability to then go further to build attractive cities and dress up the monuments/tombs and city with statues, gardens, etc. This screenshot shows some of my experimentation with what was available in the demo.

Game lengths aside, Pharaoh is as fun and addicting as any strategy game I've played, and the city-building style is always a refreshing change from the "Gather>Build Units>Destroy Enemy" formula that most RTS games employ.

This is basically the same city building game as SimCity 2 and 3 with some changes.
Sim City 4 was a game i was long awaiting.I've had plenty of mixed feelings about the game its like i cant make up whether i like it or not.
That's city life folks: people talking, cars revving, chilren playiing, and even gun shots in the night in high crime rate areas is something that makes the previous Sim City games so much less detailed in that sense.

Glitch City is a term used by Pokémon gamers to refer to a hidden fictional city caused by a bug that occurs in the Pokémon video game Red, Blue and Yellow versions.
It is not clear if game designers purposely added Glitch City to the game, although it is speculated that the creation of Glitch City is caused by the game attempting to load two maps simultaneously (the Safari Zone map and the map of the area the player was in).
Although it is not a Glitch City, if a player is spinning in the Viridian City Gym when the timer ends the player will keep spinning outside of the building.
