BELGRADE — Despite numerous problems, the Yugoslav civil defence system successfully passed the complex test involving responsibility in the protection and rescuing of civilians and property during NATO’s aggression on the country last spring, the Yugoslav Defence Ministry’s civil defence section said Tuesday.
In cooperation with Yugoslav army troops, the civil defence units organised transport by ferries in 16 cases making it possible for some 2.145 million people to cross from one side of a river to the other.

These Regulations may be cited as the Civil Defence (Grant) (Amendment) Regulations 1987 and shall come into force on the fourteenth day after the day on which they are made.
