  Cizeta - WOI Encyclopedia Italia
Cizeta Automobili srl of Modena, Italy was a car manufacturer set up in the late 1980s by Claudio Zampolli (an Italian Ferrari dealer) and the record producer Giorgio Moroder.
Their only product, the Cizeta-Moroder V16T, featured a technically advanced V16 engine (the first production V16 since World War II) and styling by Marcello Gandini that was strongly reminiscent of the Lamborghini Diablo's.
No production Cizeta was ever badged "Cizeta-Moroder" but merely "Cizeta V16T".

  Cizeta V16T
The most spectacular part of the Cizeta was the V16 engine, which was made by merging two Ferrari V8s together.
Cizeta chose to install it transversely into the engine compartment.
Cizeta V16T was never a performance-first machine as Countach or Ferrari F40, it was designed to be a supercar suitable for millionaires to drive without complaint while offering stunning look, spectacular specifications and thrilling performance for occasional hard driving.

He realised his original dream by offering the design, though with a few modifications, to Cizeta, probably as a revenge.
The most spectacular part of the Cizeta is the V16 engine, which was made by merging two Ferrari V8s together (probably the Quattrovalvole 3-litre V8 from the 308GTB).
It was not the first V16 ever made, Cadillac did that in the 30s, but to a sports car it was the first.

 Cizeta Moroder V16T
Apart from Bugatti EB110, Cizeta Moroder V16T was one of the losers closest to succeed.
We may call it a sub-product of Lamborghini - engineered by former Lamborghini man, Claudio Zampolli, the Moroder V16T followed the golden rules set by Lamborghini Countach, such as mid-engined, tubular space frame chassis with aluminum and composite body, low and very wide dimensions and a powerful normally aspirated engine.
Acceleration to 60 mph should equal Diablo's 4.5 sec, considering it weighed nearly identical to Diablo at 1615 kg.

The design of the Moroder has been presented by Marcello Gandini as the new Lamborghini Diablo prototype, but Chrysler thought this design to be too radical and had their design studio in the States cut the rough edges of the design, so the Diablo looks a little less brutal than this Cizeta.
The Cizeta (a name derived from the men behind this car : Claudio Zampoli, the initials in Italian are C and Zeta) is the only car in present history that uses a massive V-16 engine in a 90 degree configuration.
On the 1991 Geneva Auto Show, Claudio Zampoli was alone and presented the definitive model, but sales didn't come too easy, in 1992 only about ten cars were delivered to their very rich owners, but during 1993 sales dropped, and in 1995 rumours surfaced that Mr Zampoli halted production.

The 6.0 litre V16 mid-engined terror known as Cizeta Moroder is back again, in a new roadster form, called Cizeta Fenice TTJ Spyder.
The car clearly resembles the early and very wild Diablo prototypes, also designed by Gandini, but later modified by Chrysler, who wanted better engine cooling, and I suspect, and slightly more restrained look than the very wild one proposed by Gandini.
Cizeta of course was brought about by two men, other than Gandini.
