Clara Cluck - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Clara Cluck is a fictional character made by The Walt Disney Company in 1934 when she debuted in the Mickey Mouse cartoon The Orphan's Benefit.
Clara was a chicken, as far as her general body type went, but not a scrawny-looking wattle like Gyro Gearloose or Super Chicken.
Clara is a member of Mickey's original farmyard gang and has been around since the beginning of his career, though her visible presence has been even less than that of Clarabelle Cow and Horace Horsecollar's, but more than Percy and Patricia Pigg's.

His presence in the United States is extremely limited, but more recently he was revived as a semi-regular on the Disney animated series "House of Mouse." Among his other appearances is the tale properly called "Panchito" where he meets and falls for Clara Cluck (WDC&S #38).
I cannot speak definitively of his role in Europe, but it is my understanding that Panchito is quite popular and has appeared in numerous comicbook stories where he is often the headliner.
Clara Cluck is still Panchito's girlfriend in European Disney comics where she is also called Chiquita.

Clara Cluck, an operatic, stage-ham of a chicken, falls somewhere along that spectrum, but her talents seemed to mellow throughout the '30s and into the '40s.
She was a friend of Mickey and the gang, elbowing (or winging, as it were) her way into their plays and musicals.
Clara never really made it big, though--on film or in life.

We have a small enough cast of characters with which to build a city.
Perhaps an orthodox Barksist should consider only Barks' greatest period as the "Classical" or "Golden Period", and only characters he used THEN should be considered for the "REAL" universe.

Barks' story was written by Bob Gregory while Rosa's story was written by Ruud Straatman.
