  The Clarion Foundation - Welcome
Established in 1968, The Clarion Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers' Workshop is widely recognized as a premier proving and training ground for aspiring writers of fantasy and science fiction.
The Science Fiction and Fantasy Hall of Fame routinely mentions the Clarion Workshop in the vitae of its eminent inductees, a number of whom have taught in the program.
The Clarion Foundation is the nonprofit organization that oversees the Clarion Workshop at UCSD, operates the Clarion Virtual Workshop, provides services for Clarion alumni, and spearheads fundraising efforts on Clarion's behalf.

Established in 1968 by Robin Scott Wilson, Kate Wilhelm, and Damon Knight, The Clarion Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers' Workshop is the oldest workshop of its kind and is widely recognized as a premier proving and training ground for aspiring writers of fantasy and science fiction.
Clarion's name derives from its original location at Clarion State College in Pennsylvania, now Clarion University.
Dates for the 2008 workshop are June 29 to August 9.

On September 11, 2006, the Board of Directors of the Clarion Foundation announced that the Clarion Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers' Workshop will be moving from Michigan State University to the University of California at San Diego (USCD), beginning with the 2007 workshop.
Founded in 1968 by Robin Scott Wilson at Clarion State College in Clarion, Pennsylvania, the Clarion Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers' Workshop moved to Michigan State University in 1972, and has been one of the most highly regarded writing workshops in the country.
