Nova Bus was created by a reorganization of the transit bus division of MCI in 1993, and continued the production of the Classic model (which was started by General Motors Diesel Division Buses in late 1982) until MCI bought the transit division in 1987.

Richmond Davis, the first woman bus driver in Canada according to the Manitoba Classic and Antique Auto Club.  During a 3 month streetcar strike in 1919, her company temporarily ran service to Winnipeg.  By 1931 demand for the local bus service had diminished and was discontinued.

In 1961 A. Thiessen acquired Grey Goose Bus Lines, established by the Lewis family in 1924, and which had an extensive network of routes across southern Manitoba.  The Thiessen Bus Lines operation was re-branded as Grey Goose Bus Lines.

Here 8051 is signed for the classic Downsview bus route (Jane-Wilson Station).
The remains of an old trolley bus wire support frame at the top of the picture shows that this was an access route for Lansdowne Division trolley buses.
The bus roamed the system and stopped at many loops, particularly loops which were familiar stopping points for Toronto's old trolley buses.

The Toronto Transit Commission, or TTC, is a public transport authority that operates buses, streetcars, and rapid transit lines in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
As of 2004, there are four rapid transit lines (three are referred to as "subways", while a fourth is mostly elevated; see Toronto Subway and RT), with a total of 69 stations, as well as 149 connecting "surface" routes (buses and streetcars).
After an earlier experiment, trolley buses were used on a number of routes starting in 1947, but all trolley bus routes were converted to bus operation between 1991 and 1993.

The last Flxible new-look was delivered to Metro Regional Transit in Akron, Ohio on October 31, 1978, bringing the total of new-look Flxibles to 13,121 including 128 suburbans.

Hershman’s first trip apparently took him three days to complete, as the trail was in such bad shape he actually had to lay down logs on the ground in order to get the bus over the worst stretches.  The route eventually became part of the Grey Goose Bus Lines operation.
On May 29, 1953, the privately held Winnipeg Electric Company became the Greater Winnipeg Transit Commission (G.W.T.C.), a public entity created by an Act of the Province of Manitoba Legislature.
