	University of Bath - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
		In 1949, the College under the control of the Bristol Education Authority and was renamed the Bristol College of Technology; which was subsequently changed again in 1960 to the Bristol College of Science and Technology when it became one of ten technical colleges under the umbrella of the Ministry of Education.
		The University's campus is located on Claverton Down, two kilometres from the Unesco World Heritage City of Bath.
		The University is currently upgrading its Claverton Down campus with major new teaching blocks opening every other year and a consultation is being held with the local council and residents to move the boundary of the greenbelt to facilitate further expansion.

		To the north, porous blocks transfer surface water runoff into individual soakaways, while to the south, permeable grass paviors discharge via pipes into a storage tank at the bottom of the site.
		Discussions led to the solution that discharge into gull fissures should be avoided, and open fissures should be bridged or filled if they were uncovered during construction of the soakaways.
		A swale runs down the western edge of the site, and the southern carpark uses grass paviors, integrating the parking area into the surrounding grassed areas.

		When I went to Claverton Down in December 2000, Suki had been at the Home for about nine months and was on the list of top ten cats to be rehomed.
		When I came to collect Suki, I was amazed that as soon as I put her basket down she walked straight in and lay down.
