 Northern Prairies Land Trust
The Gunderson family has been a fixture in southeastern South Dakota for generations,and it seems natural that they should be the source of an important land donation to Northern Prairies Land Trust.
Karla Gunderson Greenlee, of Casper, Wyoming, who is also the daughter of a well-known former dean of the University of South Dakota School of Law, has donated to Northern Prairies more than 50 acres of land that will be known from now on as Gunderson Park.
This land borders the Missouri River near Mulberry Bend in Clay County, and is also adjacent to the Frost Wildlife Lands, known sometime to local hunters as "Camp Happiness." (This is the smaller property shown on our photo).

It is located southeast of and adjacent to the intersection of Clay county's 298th Street and Clay county's 466th Avenue, and, the cemetery is adjacent to Ash Creek, which passes around the cemetery's southeast corner.
The shorter measurement of the south side can be attributed to the fact that the fence curves around the cemetery's southeast corner to avoid the downward slope of the terrain, although, the cemetery itself is generally flat.

The other three were tracked to locations southwest of New Orleans near the Gulf of Mexico, near Pocahontas in northeastern Arkansas, and southwest of Louisville, KY. They are going to keep me posted on the progress of their migration.
I have heard more from the researchers and there were 20 total osprey chicks captured in Idaho and released at 2 hack sites in South Dakota for a reintroduciton program.
They are still receiving signals from Smithville Lake in Clay County, MO for the one I photographed, so they are concerned it has either lost its backpack or has perished.

 Saint Peter Cemetery (Danish Lutheran Cemetery) - Clay County, South Dakota
The cemetery can be reached by traveling a mile and a half south along 469th Avenue from South Dakota's Highway 46.
An additional acre of land on the cemetery's south side was later donated by Jim Johnson.
The first burial was reported to have been that of a nine year old girl named Marie Ebsen, who died from diptheria.
