Clearwater was reincorporated, this time as a city, on May 27, 1915, and made the county seat for Pinellas County, which broke from Hillsborough County in 1912.
The City of Clearwater is administered by a Council-Manager form of government, and the City Manager serves as the Chief Executive and Administrative Officer of the City.

I'm a big fan of the Phillies minor league team the Clearwater Threshers here where I live.
I grew up as a fan of the KC Royals (I was born in Hutchinson, KS) and then later liked the Houston Astros (grew up in Houston).
I must admit I hated them growing up since in 1980 they beat both the Royals and the Astros on the way to winning the Worlds Series, but that was a a long time ago...forgive and forget.

It is located just off of the busy Route 19, which makes access quite a bit easier than at Jack Russell Stadium.
Bright House Networks Field is certainly a huge upgrade from the outdated Jack Russell Stadium.

The field is used by the Threshers after the Phillies have finished with spring training.
Also Clearwater offers one of the nicest beaches you'd ever see.
