The operation to find the missing Cleggan fisherman, Desmond O'Reilly, continues as his colleagues and emergency services persist in their searches of the coastline of Cleggan Bay and Inishboffin.
Mr O'Reilly, who is in his early thirties, went missing at sea on Wednesday 9th October, prompting a massive rescue operation involving the Clifden and Achill lifeboats, the Coastguards, Gardai sub-aqua units and the Navy, as well as large numbers of local vessels and crew.
Cleggan Coastguard, Gerrard Joyce, confirmed that their search from Renvyle to Aughris and the islands was ongoing and that he had received assistance from both Costello Bay Inshore and Achill Inshore Lifeboats.
