  Concert Review - Aug. 8, 1987 with Clem Burke
Clem played only two shows before he was replaced with Marky Ramone, who had left a few years earlier because of a drinking problem.
I have a bootleg recording of the second show with Clem.
Clem's playing is not too bad, but he plays many of the fills wrong, He makes it through the song, however.

Recruited by Chris Stein and Debbie Harry when they were first forming Blondie, Burke remained with the band throughout the first stage of their career and was instrumental in the late 1990s reunion.
On October 8, 2004, he joined Tommy Ramone, C.J. Ramone, and Daniel Rey in the "Ramones Beat Down On Cancer" concert.

On Clem's first gig, in May 1975 Fred announced he was leaving.
In the spring of 1979 they recorded the forth album "EAT TO THE BEAT" (Chrysalis CDL 1125) in New York and this was followed by a sell out US tour and a video album accompanied the album, Blondie were the first band to make and sell a whole video album.
Blondie were now thinking very hard about where they wanted to go with their sound, they had made such an impact mixing disco, pop, rock styles that they wanted to venture forward with an album that took it a step further.
