Topic: Clemenz Opening

Chess opening - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
It is therefore normal for both players to either castle in the opening (simultaneously developing one of the rooks) or to otherwise bring the king to the side of the board via artificial castling.
Opening theory began being studied more scientifically from the 1840s on, and many opening variations were discovered and named in this period and later.
The Catalan Opening is characterized by White forming a pawn center at d4 and c4 and fianchettoing her king's bishop.

 Encyclopedia: Saragossa Opening
In 1922 a theme tournament requiring the players to open with 1.c3 was arranged in Mannheim with three participants, Siegbert Tarrasch, Paul Leonhardt and Jacques Mieses, which Tarrasch won.
It opens a diagonal for the queen, but it makes only a timid claim of the center.
Since White usually plays for the initiative in the opening, the Saragossa is an irregular opening and classified as A00 by the Encyclopaedia of Chess Openings.

A00 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
A00 is the Encyclopaedia of Chess Openings designator for unconventional chess openings with an unusual first move from White.
Note that if white plays a regular opening, like the King's Pawn Game and fl responds in some unconventional way, the opening is not categorized under the ECO code A00.
Because these openings are not popular with elite chess players, the standard opening references (see chess opening) do not cover them in detail.

Opening theory in chess - Wikibooks
Opening theory consists of the analysis of lines of play.
Typically, these lines of play are divided into openings and variations named after their inventor or the city where they were first played.
You can use the Encyclopaedia of Chess Openings (ECO) code index if you prefer to navigate to positions that way.

Chess opening - Art History Online Reference and Guide
It is therefore normal for both players to castle in the opening, putting the king to the side of the board (and simultaneously developing one of the rooks).
Most of the openings classified as closed games begin 1.d4 d5, although the (Old) Benoni and Dutch are usually also placed here due to their similarities to the double queen pawn openings.
If White opens with 1.Nf3, the game often turns into one of the d4 openings by a different move order (this is known as transposition), but unique openings such as the Réti (1.Nf3 d5 2.c4) and the King's Indian Attack are also common.

The successor to John Paul II, who died last week, will be selected at a gathering of Catholic cardinals, called a conclave, to be held April 18 in the Vatican Sistine Chapel.
Clemenz, who describes himself as a “practicing Catholic who bends the rules a little,” has never held formal office in the One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church, and acknowledges he needs more name recognition if he is to sway the College of Cardinals.
After sustaining severe throat injuries in a car crash in Cumberland when he was 21, Clemenz underwent a laryngeal nerve innervation at Johns Hopkins Hospital, a procedure he credits with saving his voice.
