		I've only played with a 'Cleopatra's needle' once (in a kayak with bulkheads), and ended up diving down to clip a line to the stern and haul it back up from another kayak after everything else we could think of had failed.
		If anyone has spent time solving the Needle problem it will be them, also Alan Byde may have published info linked to testing of his pod.
		From memory the only published tests were with partial flooding, they came back to foam blocks or float bags in the ends to avoid the problem, so there probably isn't a good solution.
