The Columbus Thunderbolts were an Arena Football League team which operated during the 1991 season in Columbus, Ohio.
The team went winless in its only Columbus season, which perhaps in part was what prompted its relocation to Cleveland prior to the 1992 season and subsequent operation as the Cleveland Thunderbolts.
Perhaps the highlight of the Columbus Thunderbolts' brief existence was the play of running back Major Harris, who rushed for over 400 yards during the season, still the all-time Arena record, and a remarkable achievement given the predominance of passing in the play of the Arena league.
