 Cullens of Maungaturoto, New Zealand
Cliff Cullen has documented this family in book form, complete with photographs and document reproductions, from Richard Cullen the first of the Rude Forefathers abt1560, all the way down to the present day.
It would be impossible to reproduce Cliff's monumental work here in its entirety (over 400 pages) so I have collected the known male lines of this branch starting with the emigrant ancestor, John Ash Cullen.
John Ash Cullen was born at Fiskerton, Nottinghamshire, on January 9,1813, to parents Benjamin and Esther (Ash) Cullen.

Thomas was born April 4, 1652 to Gervase and Katherine (Robinson) Cullen at Upton, Nottinghamshire.
Thomas likely did not write or even sign his own will since, as was commonly found, literacy was not something particularly useful to a yeoman farmer.
Many thanks to Cliff Cullen of New Zealand for the forwarded copy of the will of Thomas Cullen.

Opposition water stewardship critic Cliff Cullen says the government water protection has been mismanaged from the start and the pause appears to be politically motivated and designed to drive a wedge between rural and urban voters.
We've just come through the BSE situation where there's been a tremendous amount of uncertainty in the beef industry and now we've got the government imposing a similar uncertainty out there in that particular industry and it's tough decisions for farm families to make going ahead.
Cullen fears, with the moratorium in place, investment that was going to Manitoba may go to other provinces which could hamper the long term sustainability of the industry in Manitoba.
